SAGA (Abruzzo Airport Management Society) was established in 1981 in order to manage Abruzzo Airport.
Since 13th February 2008, SAGA is the holder of a thirty-year concession for the custody of the airport, through an agreement signed with ENAC (Civil Aviation National Authority).

Corporate purpose

The corporate purpose consists in all activities listed in the Statute (art.3):
a) "direct carrying-out of specific activities regarding design, implementation, development, adaptation, management, maintenance and use of all facilities, infrastructures and state properties inside the Abruzzo Airport in Pescara and other airports in Abruzzo";
b) "direct or outsourcing carrying-out of activities connected to those ones at point a), generally every service, industry and business activity meant to assistance, promotion and development of air traffic to and from Abruzzo; the society can perform any business and financial operation, except property or real estate activities (art.1 L. 02.01.1991) related to social purpose, even indirectly; as well as bond and loan issue, even if they're mortgage-backed on earnings; moreover are excluded all activities mentioned in 'D. L.vo 385/1993, delibera C.I.C.R. del 3.3.1994 e D.L. 58/98' regulation." "The company can engage in investments and interests in other companies, societies and consortia with similar or related assets.

Share capital composition

Public Authorities are holders of 99,99% of the company shares. The majority owner of SAGA share capital is Regione Abruzzo, just a symbolic share is hold by Future Cleaning Srl.

Our mission

The society aims to contribute to the economic and social development of the region, by developing air connections among origin/destination zones and its catchment area and also providing high security and quality standards for all services offered to passengers, airlines and clients. For this purpose, the society manages and develops all services and infrastructures inside the airport, promotes "incoming" tourism, pursues all actions needed in order to enlarge traffic areas and also ensures the economic viability of the activity.
